EarthCare: The Leadership Challenge for the 21st Century, an exciting program sponsored by 21st Century Leaders with the help of the Georgia Power Foundation. Now in its seventh year, this leadership program focuses on the leadership skills needed to tackle the growing challenges facing our environment today.
Rising sophomore, junior, and senior high school students will reside on the campus of Berry College in Rome, Georgia, for a week during the summer. Students will work with other future leaders in hands-on, challenging workshops and service projects designed to build their environmental and professional leadership skills. Each EarthCare workshop is a dynamic, interactive experience led by professionals and community leaders with a focus on environmental issues. Students will gain insight on their generation’s role in sustaining our environment and be able to use this experience as they prepare for college and careers in the future.
There is no cost to participate, but acceptance is highly competitive. Students must complete online information, submit application questions and acquire one online recommendation by March 20, 2015.
